He started his career at Ministry of Treasury in 2004. Exceeding 17 years in the Ministry, he specialized as tax investigator, revenue controller, group deputy chairman, Turkish Revenue Administration Chairman in the context of tax, auditing and management.
He completed his Bachelor Degree program at Istanbul University, Economics Department in 2003. He had been in USA to get Master Degree in Boston University, Financial Economics Department in 2011-2012. At present, he is studying at PhD. Financial Law in Marmara University.
He had different scale of tax-related experiences thereby investigating many different medium and large-scale companies in different cities especially in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir as revenue controller and tax investigator.
After taking role in Tax Inspection Board, Struggle with Organized Fiscal Evasion Department as Deputy Chairman, he had remained his position as Group Chairman in Ministry of Treasury in Revenue Administration. In that period, he specialized in especially in expressing opinions about the tax laws hesitated, tax investigation processes, tax penalties, tax cases and valuation. In his management period, he had active roles in especially fiscal laws, structure laws, tax announcements, circular and private letter rulings.
He represented our country regarding tax-related subjects in the meetings arranged by OECD. He also participated to different seminars and panels organized by different associations, companies, unions as speaker and his articles were published in different magazines.
Mustafa Ak, Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, has good level of English and intermediate level of Spanish.
