İsmail Vefa AK

Ismail Vefa AK started his career at the Board of Finance Inspectors. He inspected many departments affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and carried out regulatory compliance, performance and effectiveness audits.

He gained important experiences with taking charge in the examination of overseas-based companies and holdings in terms of transfer pricing and foreign earnings in the Group of Overseas Earnings, Transfer Pricing, Tax Audit Board Istanbul Hidden Capital.

He served as executive Vice President of the Istanbul Large Scale Taxpayers Group for three years. During his career as an executive in the Revenue Administration, he served as the procedure group manager of Istanbul Tax Office Directorate, the group manager of Income and Corporate Taxes Directorate, the group manager of Other Taxes, the group manager of Collection and the group manager of Legal and Litigious Affairs.

He has carried out studies on stating opinion about the issues of tax law hesitations, tax refunds, tax cases and compulsory collection of public receivables. He has participated as a speaker in seminars and panels organized on various subjects, particularly on corporate tax applications. He has actively contributed to the work on the development of tax legislation in the tax council and in various organizations organized by the non-governmental organizations and the tax administration.

Ismail Vefa AK, a certified public accountant and independent auditor, speaks English and German.
