Halit İslam EKMEN

Halit İslam EKMEN began his professional career in 2014 at the Tax Inspection Board, serving as a Tax Inspector in the Ankara and Istanbul Large Taxpayers Offices, as well as the Istanbul Sectoral-1 Inspection Department.

He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Business Administration, at Istanbul University in 2013. In 2020, he completed his master’s degree in Financial Law at the Department of Public Finance, Marmara University, with a thesis titled “Taxation in Airline Passenger Transportation.” He is currently continuing his Executive MBA studies, which he started in 2023, at the City University of London – Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School).

During his tenure as a Tax Inspector, Ekmen gained extensive experience in taxation by conducting inspections of large and medium-sized companies across various sectors. Since 2019, he has been a part of the Banking and Finance Inspection Group, specializing in sectoral inspections. Additionally, he has participated in various examination activities and carried out significant work in MASAK (the Financial Crimes Investigation Board) and compliance inspections.

Halit İslam Ekmen served as a board member of the Association of Finance Auditors, established by Tax Inspectors, from 2019 to 2021 and as the Chairman of the association from 2021 to 2023.

Ekmen holds the title of Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is proficient in English.
